LOCATION OF EMRS PANGI AT KILLAR(CHAMBA)
Eklavya Model Residential School is located in Pangi Valley, which is full of natural beauty and offers adventure at every step. It is a remote, rugged and poorly developed area. It is located at 33.084014*N and 76.406980*E. It is in district Chamba. It is one of the most remote area in Himachal Pradesh State. Pangi valley is devided into the Saichu , Hudan Bhatoori and Sural Bhatoori valleys. These are inhabited at elevation of 7000 feet (2100 m) to 11000(3400m)above sea level. Roads are poor with few of them surfaced. The Saach pass is at an altitude of 14500 feet (4400m) is open for vehicular traffic between mid June and October. It remained closed at other times of the year.
The Pangi Tehsil covers, 1601 sq sets in the foothills of Great Himalayan Mountains and at the altitude of 2700m. Killar is one of the most charming hill resorts, in Pangi valley, Chamba (H.P.)
